The Texas Medical Excellence Scholarship was established by Fort Worth plastic surgeon Dr. Emily J. Kirby to help, uplift, and motivate students in Texas who are pursuing medical education. One $2,500 award is available to qualifying Texas medical students.
How the Award May Be Used
The scholarship is intended to offset tuition and educational costs. Acceptable uses include, but are not limited to, textbooks; study supplies (paper, pens, notebooks, etc.); required technology; campus meal plans; housing; and transportation expenses.
