Mission
The SMACNA College of Fellows (COF) Scholarship Program exists to identify and honor academically talented young people and emerging leaders connected to the SMACNA community. The program seeks to give these individuals opportunities to continue their education, develop leadership abilities, and become constructive contributors to society.
Eligibility / Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of the fund is to award scholarships to eligible applicants from the SMACNA extended family who are pursuing undergraduate studies at accredited institutions of higher education. Recipients include:
- Contractors who are SMACNA members
- Employees of SMACNA member contractors
- SMACNA chapter executives
- National SMACNA staff
- SMACNA Associate Members
- Members of the families of any of the above groups
Secondary Purpose
A secondary objective is to strengthen a sense of community and mutual support across the SMACNA family by collaborating on a shared goal—advancing the education of individual members.

- Promote an atmosphere of ongoing learning and intellectual curiosity
- Expand opportunities for the generation and sharing of knowledge
- Foster a culture that recognizes and encourages academic achievement, creativity, and respect
- Maintain and develop programs that advance the scholarship mission
- Use available resources efficiently to maximize impact
