Women’s Leadership Committee Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Montana Farm Bureau Federation
Overview
The Montana Farm Bureau Federation, with sponsorship from the MFB Women’s Leadership Committee, will award two (2) scholarships of $1,500.00 each.
Who may apply
- Open to both male and female students.
- Eligible applicants are those pursuing accredited continuing education—this includes college, trade or technical schools, certificate programs, and other certified post-secondary education—at any level (freshman through graduate).
Eligibility requirements
- The applicant must be planning to attend an accredited institution.
- The scholarship award must be used during the academic year in which it is granted.
- The applicant must be either a current, dues-paid Montana Farm Bureau member or an immediate family member of a current, paid Montana Farm Bureau member.
Selection criteria
Applications will be evaluated according to these priorities:
1. Scholastic achievement (high school GPA)
2. Future goals — educational and career plans, activities, with special emphasis on how those goals relate to the agriculture industry
3. Community involvement
4. School activities and leadership roles
Required materials
- Two (2) letters of reference
- A transcript (high school or college) showing GPA
Application and selection timeline
- Applications must be submitted by midnight on April 1, 2026. Applications will be initially reviewed and scored by your local County Farm Bureau.
- A county may consider your submission for a local award and may forward up to two applications to the state-level competition by April 15, 2026.
- Final scholarship recipients will be announced by June 1, 2026.
